Blogging is not only a hobby or a fun thing to do to waste time but it is also a business. Lots of people have become famous and rich by just blogging on their websites and earning six figures revenue a day.

There are different type of Bloggers, those who blog for;-
1. Money
2. Passion or Fun
3. Neither Money nor Passion nor Fun but just copying and pasting for recognition.


The first step in turning  blogging into business is to grow.
Too often  bloggers try selling ads or books or consulting weeks or even days after starting their blogs. Slow your roll! Take the time to find and grow your community first, and the opportunity to make some cake will come later.

  • Write as much and often as you can, daily if possible
  • · Comment on other blogs with similar topics and content as yours
  • · Reply to comments on your own blog
  • · Use Twitter, Instagram and (if absolutely necessary) Facebook to promote your posts and interact with readers and other bloggers
  • · Be patient! This growth phase usually takes months or  years before your blog is ready to support a business.e tips I often give are:

Some Bloggers are  not recognized in the scope of business and they are taken as wasting  their time online without gain. But it should be considered that everything is for something, nothing  without something,  everything is for something.

These days there are biggest online companies such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Mashable, Techcrunch, Thenexweb, and a lot more just to mention but a few. All these companies have started as small enterprises but now they have become big companies on online products. My aim is to show that blogging is anenterprise of a good future. Any who has the dreams to have a big company online  can realize his dream .

How to earn money blogging
There are lots of ways you can profit by taking your blog as a business. This way it’s obvious you can turn your blog into a source of revenues just by doing the following things

1. Selling Ads
If you have a big  number of daily visitors coming to read  articles in your blog its easy to generate money by selling adverts on your blog.  Many companies this days use online platforms to advertise their businesses. A blog  having traffic that is active it’s easy for it to encourage advertisers to invest their advertising money on it by placing their adverts to it.

2. Advertising Networks
These days there are a lot of advertising networks out there as i mention a few common ones such as Google Ad-sense, Chitika, Media.net (Yahoo, Bing Network), Infolinks as well as our own Tanzanian network, “Pinpoint Media”. which Buy and sell ads. These advertising networks help a lot of Bloggers to earn a lot of money as Google Ad-sense being recognized as the best of all.


3. Affiliates
These is another source of money making for Bloggers, and it is one of the best too as it has produced  lots of the biggest  Bloggers in this industry. To affiliate is  to officially attach or connect one entrepreneur to an organization as a member Some of Bloggers that become through affiliation system just to mention a few is Daren Rowse. Affiliates networks such as Amazon are the best option for Bloggers depending on the niche you are blogging. Nevertheless, affiliation remain  one of the best money making option for bloggers.


All in all, Blogging  is a trade that needs audience, time, patience and endurance. If you enter into this business do not expect to earn a six figure income immediately. Every thing need time and good plan for good future. 

People such as Mark Zuckerberg founder of face book,  Pete Cashmore the founder of Mashable, XXX the founder of Techcrunch didn’t star earning from the first day. It took them time to generate quality contents,  build up traffic and  now they are Millionaires with online startups that provides employment to other people too.

The art of pricing
Deciding how much to charge for a product is very complicated and can depend on a hundred things. But we’re not economists, so let’s take a simple look.You want to price your ads or services high enough so you’ll work hard on them, but low enough so people will still buy them.
For blog ads, a nice rule of thumb seems to be $1 per 2000-2500 views. So if your blog enjoys 20,000 views a month, you should start looking at charging $10/mo for banner ads. Of course this depends on how many ads you show and what other options come with the ad.
For services like photography or consulting, you want to charge a fair hourly rate for your time, based on your experience and efficiency.
Most of all, don’t be afraid to start low and adjust as demand increases. If you find yourself booked, raise prices!

Finally, keep working
Building a business is very hard. You will need to try and fail at many things. It may take a lot longer to gain traction, to build your audience, and to find customers than you planned. Be patient! With hard work and much determination you’ll soon be the blogger who’s “figured it all out” and you may even have a few new experiences you can turn into products.
