President Jakaya Kikwete, clicking a button to launch a TCRA Data review Plant |
Dar es salaam ":Hurry up to enact the online Security Act so as to control Leakage of the country's confidential under the pretext of freedom of the press" .President Jakaya Kikwete said this during the occasion of
launching the plant that will enable the review of data on communication at Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority Headquarters ( TCRA ) in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Saturday , March 01 , 2014.President Jakaya Kikwete directed the Ministry of Information, Youth , Culture and Sports to ensure that the process of enacting networks law quickly, and put it into enforcement , in order to control leakage of the country's confidences under the pretext of freedom of the press..
President Kikwete on emphasizing this said there was no country in the world which is not maintaining its secrets , since it is important to the security, even for countries that have been at the forefront defending the freedom of the press .
He insisted by giving an example of the U.S. intelligence, Edward Snowden that he was accused of leaking secrets of his country on the Internet , and this being a crucial issue as it is he fled for hiding to Russia
He appreciated the achievement that TCRA have made so far up to now.
He added that the law will enable growth of the stimulus for country economy for this will control, especially the mobile communications abroad and increase the national income
Previously the director of TCRA , Professor John Nkoma said the launch of the reactor, goes along with the existence of new code communication management and verification of telecommunications ( TTMS , Regulation of 2013) , which enables the government to get a penny 7 out of 25 charged for each minute and allotted from the company concerned.
" TCRA succeccefuly garnered and pay the Treasury a dividend for October, according to the Law of TMMS Sh1.6 billion, today we entrust a payment of Sh1.6 billion for November payment and in March we will pay another dividend for December, " said Nkoma.
