The diamond eye award for Quality Commitment
 and Excellence (a secret of excellence in
 this arc of suprime majesty)

The Open University of Tanzania (OUT) has been honoured with 'Diamond Eye Award for Quality Commitment and Excellence and Total Quality Management Accreditation for High Quality Performance and Best Customer Satisfaction' 

This Award was instituted by the Paris based Otherways Management and Consulting (OMC). 

The  Chairman of the OUT Council, Professor Samwel Wangwe, who was accompanied by the OUT Vice Chancellor, Professor S. A. Tolly Mbwette received this
 prestigious international ‘Diamond Eye Award for Quality and Excellence.’

The handing  ceremony was held recently, at the International Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

The event was witnessed by representatives of various business sectors, companies and diplomats from more that 40 countries.

Addressing the press in Dar es Salaam upon his return, Professor Wangwe said;" This historic event was a pointer to the role that OUT continues to play in the provision of quality education in the Southern African Development Community region(SADC)" . 

“It is however also a challenge to ensure that we maintain the recognition we have received especially with the ever increasing demand as more students were registering with OUT,” he said.

Professor Mbwette told the press conference that OUT will seek even higher recognition through improved performance and management in its noble task of providing high quality education. 

The Diamond Eye Award is given for Quality, Commitment and Excellence. It is also a Certificate on Total Quality Management and Aptitude Seal for High Quality Performance & Best Customer Satisfaction from the "(OMC) Otherways Management Association" based in Paris.

The Diamond Eye Award for Quality Commitment & Excellence and Customer Satisfaction was envisioned by the Paris France based "Otherways Management Association”.

According to what availed in  the web of The Diamond Eye Award, this International Award was created in Europe to reward firms that have distinguished themselves in the field of Management and Excellence but now that goal has been extended world wide.
